About ARC Vets 

Established in 2016, ARC is an independent NZ family-owned referral practice with two state-of-the-art small animal hospitals in Auckland. We’re a 24/7 operation with an incredible team of specialists in surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, oncology, dermatology, and critical care. ARC North also offers hydrotherapy services.  

Our hospitals are equipped with advanced technology, including a full in-house laboratory suite, multiparameter monitors, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, endoscopy, mechanical ventilation, and on-site CT and MRI (ARC Central). With dedicated spaces for cats and dogs, we ensure the best experience for our patients and their families.

Job Description

What is the role?

We are looking for thorough and responsible part time cleaners for our Freemans Bay veterinary clinic.  

The hours available are Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday 9:00am – 3:00pm

 

Duties include:  

  • Clean and maintain equipment promptly and efficiently according to practice protocols.
  • General cleaning of designated areas including scrubbing surfaces, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, refilling consumables, laundry, etc.
  • Attend to soiling and spills (blood, urine, faeces) in a timely manner in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Maintain strict hygiene controls in accordance with practice policies.
  • Complete daily and monthly cleaning checklists

Skills and experience

  • Must be comfortable working around animals
  • Reliable, punctual and honest with a good eye for detail
  • Prior cleaning experience with a genuine interest in cleaning is preferred
  • Be physically fit and energetic
  • Excellent proven work ethic
  • Strong communication skills with a great attitude and willingness to contribute to our team’s success
  • A driver's licence and access to a vehicle would be great if you are going to work between both clinics.
  • Working with a customer service focus and pride in the work you deliver
  • Show initiative to work autonomously and with little supervision
